Plan B

It’s a rare one, this; singing, rapping, acoustic-strumming, R’n’B/hip-hop kid from London.
Yet relentless wordsmith Ben – aka Plan B – is more Dylan than anything typical amidst his genre. With tales such as B’s, it’s no easy ride – though occasionally witty… ‘Young Girl’ extols the worries of underage groping (accidentally, of course), the masterful ‘Sick 2 Def’ is the angriest thing we’ve ever heard spat to an acoustic-guitar all year, and ‘Kidz’ is a far more thrilling, likely and honest depiction of youth culture in 21st Century Britain than the one painted in ‘The Sun’. If ‘006 doesn’t herald ‘classic’ status for this true, unafraid wizard of words, something went severely wrong. Look out for the debut LP next year. It’ll drop. Big time. Be there.
