The Futureheads

The Futureheads formed – to quote the band’s own guitarist Ross, who penned on an unofficial site of the band’s – ‘in (vocalist) Barry’s freezing garage in November 2000’.
Since then, you could say that a few things have enveloped for the two characters, plus bassist Jaff and drummer Dave: a sell-out UK tour with The Kills; an acclaimed, first single-release on Project Cosmonaut Records, with the rapt, taut and ferocious ‘Nul Book Standard’ EP (worthy listening, we assure you… if you can find it); a second-EP – ‘1-2-3-Nul!’ – as produced by legendary Gang Of Four-er, Andy Gill; jubilant press-support; raved-about festival-debuts; a triumphant show for rockfeedback in the summer of ‘03; and a robustly growing fanbase to envy greatly.

With the debut-album being worked upon with Gill imminently, and a couple of further, low-key shows to follow along the way, keep your ears and eyes alert for their next emergence: as this lot are getting hotter a prospect with every passing moment of gradually-increasing airplay.
