The Magic Numbers
One year is all be needeth. In that time alone, The Magic Numbers have matured, shaped and bestowed upon us musical treats of sincere, rigorous magnitude.
What that means? In just twelve months, via their current formation – Romeo Stodart (guitar, lead vocals); Angela Gannon (vox, melodica, percussion); Michele Stodart (vocals, bass); Sean Gannon (drums) – The Magic Numbers have become one of London’s most highly acclaimed live-draws, a buzz that has simmered from solely word-of-mouth (like all great riches in life).
They pen odes of love, scorn, rejection and desperation, yet the ambience amidst their camp is always that of elation. They’re, in equal parts, charming, beautiful and compelling. A debut mini-LP is due later this year, slated for release on Heavenly (but how dare we pronounce such rumours?), to be recorded throughout June in Sweden.
