Devo are a New Wave band hailing from Akron, Ohio. Forming in 1973, the band have been attributed with numerous genre tags including Post Punk and Art Rock, but are primarily remembered for their more commercial 'New Wave' sound, which spawned the 1980 hit single 'Whip It'.
