BIOGRAPHY
Although she’s been working on her music for some time, striking up a writing partnership initially with Vincent Frank (Frankmusik) and a studio relationship with South-East London remix king Starsmith, Ellie Goulding’s thoroughly well oiled music machine chugged quietly into the nation’s aural psyche till one day…BOOM. Literally covered in Goulding. Her unique blend of electro-pop and folk have lauded her any number of titles – ‘a kooky British Lykke Li’, ‘a technoid Cerys Matthews’, even ‘The New Björk’ (note the capitalisation). Recently burdened/gifted with the heavy accolade of ‘BBC’s Sound of 2010’, which has previously been awarded to the likes of Adele and Little Boots...in these matters it’s best to judge for yourself.
