BIOGRAPHY
Zimbabwean born, Hackney grown Tinashe was, in his own words “originally shipped over from Zimbabwe so [he] could eventually grow to become a doctor/lawyer and wire money back home via Western Union, that didn't go so well... I blame/thank MJ.”
Siphoning off a big old cocktail of influences, his street-level storytelling mixes the narrative lyrics of Arctic Monkeys with soul melodies. Live he plays stripped down, bare bones versions of his recorded material, with just himself, a guitar, and a drummer his note perfect performances show just enough heart to be endearing. The chap is just about to embark on a tour of the UK with brilliant popsters The Noisettes.
