The latest pop phenomenon to roll off the fertile Swedish production line is Erik Hassle, a 21-year-old with Mick Hucknall’s barnet as styled by La Roux.
His new album Pieces is a hook-laden, well-crafted collection of heartfelt pop that traces that fine line between laying emotions bare and plying cloying MOR with deft ease.
