Peaches

From well-reputed origins as a children’s teacher… to a present-day notoriety of existing as the world’s crudest and sassiest solo punk-artiste.

Yeah, she’s made a dent, has Peaches. Fans numbering Pink and Iggy Pop – both of whom she has collaborated with of late – and shows now a spectacle rather than a mere gig – albeit, with strap-on dildos and frilly-clad, transsexual dancers of the essence – you could say that 2000’s ‘The Teaches Of Peaches’ record was one sorely needed. In the midst of a testosterone-driven musical-nightmare, Peaches was the cool, creative and innovative pop-sensation that could only appeal to kids above the age of 21 and up: foul-mouthed, explicit, but honest, her arty electro-rock depiction is both humorous and observant.

With ‘Fatherf**ker’, a second album, set to send the lady into the stratosphere… no longer is the Canadian-born, Berlin-resident a mere cult – but a modern-day icon in hot pants.
