Hell Is For Heroes

Some bands are inspired into existence via special events, earth-shattering tales of bizarre consequence and unbelievable fate. Hell Is For Heroes, however, were spawned in a drunken evening in a pub. Oh well.
But, it’s not the place of their inception that matters – it’s where their heads were at during the time. Spending the evening discussing their sound and what they wanted to achieve, ex-members of Symposium, Will McGonagle and Joe Birch, teamed up with school-friends, James ‘Fin’ Findlay and Tom O\'Donoghue, and vocalist Justin Schlosberg to form the group. And, since then, things have been aligning themselves somewhat perfectly.

Following numerous launch-gigs to get the band into the live-arena, word soon spread in all the right circles of their exceptional promise, Superior Quality Recordings going on to release their two-song demo ‘Sick/Happy’ and ‘Cutdown’ as the band’s debut release. The press fell in love and A&R interest soon followed, the band eventually signing to EMI:Chrysalis.
With the following release of 45, ‘You Drove Me To It’, a top-75 hit was garnered, and support-slots with fellow emerging bands coincided, including tour-dates with Hundred Reasons amongst many others. After this, the band soon relocated to LA to commence work on debut-LP, ‘The Neon Handshake’, with the two esteemed hardcore-producers behind Refused and The Hives.
Now, with the third single ‘I Can Climb Mountains’ gaining the band more airplay on radio and TV than prior efforts, it seems Hell Is For Heroes are just at the beginning of it all. Stay tuned for a thrilling development.
