Turns out our Artist of the Week, Zola Jesus – aka Nika Rosa Danilova, should you not want to blaspheme either our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ of Nazereth, or indeed former Chelsea FC legend and failed West Ham United manager Gianfranco Zola – is as generous as she is talented. Yes, we’ve got some free stuff for you!
Her new LP Conatus gets a release this week on the ever excellent Souterrain Transmissions imprint, and we’ve got a few copies of it to give away – on vinyl, no less! If you ask the lonely, bumfluff-faced indie boys in the Rockfeedback office, vinyl is special enough as it is, but this is something else – beautiful grey and white marble effect vinyl that not only looks gorgeous, but contains some truly excellent modern goth pop that gets under your skin like no other record this year.
