There’s a new, low-slung rhythm to London’s youth – at its heart is Luke Bower. Much has been made of the emergent musical undercurrent in the nation’s capital, one which is inspiring a wave of new, more free-minded young music fans. Luke – stage name Lucy Lu – is the common thread through much of it. Having cut his teeth on the capital’s new-wave jazz scene, as well as playing lead guitar in Puma Blue and bass with Nilufer Yanya as part of their world-touring live bands, Luke has perfected his sound surrounded by the best in the business.

Bringing that craftsmanship into his own live shows, Lucy Lu channels the energy and musicianship of the likes of Andre 3000 and Pharrell. Lu says, “their brand of pop is very musical, with a lot of character. I feel like they have a wink, a wry side to their music-making. I’m definitely very influenced by that – not taking yourself too seriously, but taking the music itself seriously.”

Hailing from South London, Nigerian-born singer-songwriter and producer, Tracy Sada is  making waves of her own, having performed at the likes of Jazz Cafe, o2 Academy Islington and Bush theatre . Her sound is distinct for her soulful voice with an interplay between electronic nuances and live jazz instrumentation. After four years of working as a fashion stylist, she chose to pursue her real dream of making music. She is heavily influenced by various genres and artists including  Erykah Badu (who she penned an ode to on her bandcamp ), Radiohead and afro-fusion/jazz legend, Lagbaja. Her latest single,  Shake It Up, is a soul infused and electronic  track, co produced by Junior XL that will have you giggling on the dance floor.  She is currently working on  her debut EP,  writing  songs about love, childhood  and growing up as an immigrant in her now gentrified city.

KYANOS is an alternative indie outfit hailing from Suffolk. Inspired by artists such as Crumb, Mild High Club and Mac Demarco, KYANOS bring together elements of Psychedelia, Indie rock and Jazz. Their refreshing and exciting sound makes them a highly anticipated act to watch out for.

KYANOS’ upcoming single ‘Moonlight’ will be released on the 26th of November, with a music video to follow.
