Fresh from a summer of festival appearances including Glastonbury, the blissfully atmospheric Deep Deep Water are in the throws of preparing for a national tour and laying down tracks for their second EP. In a short time, and with just two singles released, they have amassed radio support from the likes of BBC Introducing, Radio 1, 6 Music and Radio X, and coverage from a host of music blogs and magazines including NME, Vogue, Clash Magazine, Ransom Note, The 405 and Gorilla vs Bear.
Drawing musical inspiration from the smoky delivery of Portishead, the formless wanderings of Talk Talk and the ethereal sheen of Warpaint, this four-piece have crafted a dynamic live show that takes audiences on a musically immersive, multidimensional, dub-infected journey... On lead vocals, Talia experiments with microphone techniques, creating a powerful, jazz-infused delivery; Jimmy mixes punchy electronic elements into his drumming gymnastics; Bernard on synths, approaches the band with a technical curiosity, pushing the limits of electronic fusion; and guitar virtuoso Frankie adds his trademark catchy riffs and soundscapes.
Join the band (and special guests) to celebrate the launch of their EP. Produced by Richard Norris and recorded at Real World Studios, the record brilliantly encapsulates the energy and sophistication of their live shows.
Yehan Jehan’s debut ‘Expansions’ EP combined ten years of musical development through soul, classic funk, psych rock and 70s film music into an intoxicating ultramodern stew.
The Paris-based writer/producer comes to London to show off music from his forthcoming EP due late 2019.
