Rockfeedback Concerts in association with BleeD presents...

ITAL (first UK A/V show featuring Aurora Halal)

This show is part of Illuminations, a special week-long series of curated events and shows in London, taking place across a variety of venues around the city in November.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, we have moved the Ital A/V show to The Waiting Room in Stoke Newington.  This is a well-equipped basement space which will provide a perfect home for Ital & Aurora Halal's projections.  Dam Mantle and Sam Willis (Walls) will play in support.

Advance tickets have been reduced to £7.  All ticket buyers thus far will be contacted, with the option of a refund.  Please note all originally bought tickets will have the difference of the ticket price refunded on the door.

ITAL (first UK A/V show featuring Aurora Halal)

Heading a new wave of dance producers, Brooklyn based Daniel Martin-McCormick aka Ital chops and skews classic house/techno through a liberating and unique soundworld. His tracks are panoramic, labyrinthine constructions that channel the dystopian visions of Drexciya and the industrial explorations of Chris & Cosey while never straying too far from a 4/4 mindset. As one half of Thrill Jockey/Not Not Fun act Mi Ami Daniel brings a euphoric post-noise aesthetic into play, continually distorting, filtering and panning different channels to create amorphous, boundary-blurring productions, where voices from the ether and melted synth washes soar across the soundfield. Dancefloors across Europe have been smitten by his tactile live set, from underground basements to festival mainstages as his sound/performance is a RUSH.

On this tour he is accompanied by visual artist Aurora Halal (Innergaze/100% SILK), who will take dancefloors deeper with her synched up cosmic projections and hall of mirrors VHS feeds.

“Hive Mind subverts the expectations and structures of house music... as messy and thoughtful a take on house as we're likely to hear this year.”Pitchfork

Dam Mantle is the dazzlingly-monikered Glasgow-based producer and performer who has garnered a lot of hype about his work recently. Tom Marshallsay blends a nomadic sense of rhythm with a kaleidoscopic sound-pallete of synths and samples, making his music hard to pin down and adequately describe. Marshallsay recently finished his degree at Glasgow school of Art where he moved to three years ago after growing up in Kent. He played in bands since his pre-teens until around 2005 when he started making music on his own with what ever was to hand, slowly building a record collection and a individual sense of musical form.

Now finished with his university commitments, Dam Mantle will be busy releasing new recordings, starting with the brilliant 'We' EP in July 2011 and playing live for the forseeable future, with an album set for 2012.

Sam Willis is set to release his debut solo album 'Winterval' via Half Machine Records on November 5th on cadmium red vinyl and digital download.

One half of electronic duo Walls, who have released two critically acclaimed and adored albums on Kompakt, his solo debut delivers on the rich promise of his earlier releases and remixes for influential imprints such as Playhouse, RVNG Intl., Rekids and Buzzin' Fly amongst others.
