MELT YOURSELF DOWN

Melt Yourself Down is Pete Wareham (Acoustic Ladyland, Polar Bear), Kushal Gaya (Zun Zun Egui), Shabaka Hutchings (Sons Of Kemet, Heliocentrics), Tom Skinner (Hello Skinny, Owiny Sigoma Band, Matthew Herbert, Mulatu Astatke), Ruth Goller (Acoustic Ladyland, Rokia Traoré), Satin Singh (Fela!). Times ten by Leafcutter John.

This is music that goes beyond words to aim for a higher state. Jazz, punk, afrobeat and No Wave do battle armed with flame-throwers and congas. Like the ancient Whirling Dervishes of Persia, Melt Yourself Down ratchet up the musical drama to a new level of sweat-drenched intensity. Jump in and let yourself go.

FLAMINGODS

Flamingods is a five piece multi-instrumental experimental band originally started by Kamal Rasool in late 2009 as a bedroom project. Their sound has been described as ethnic pop, with elements of noise, tribal and freaked folk. They use a number of percussion instruments, some of which were collected during Rasool’s travels to places like Tanzania and the Amazon. On January 21st 2013 the band released their debut album entitled 'Sun' with Art is Hard Records and took shows to much bigger crowds in the summer playing Latitude festival, Green Man, and Knee Deep as well as a string of other dates.

This is a special Friday night late event curated by Melt Yourself Down, plus special guests with a 2:30am curfew. Tickets for this show are priced at £12 and are available now from the following links:
