PLUMM

Plumm is a multi-instrumentalist, vocalist, band leader and producer hailing from South London with proud Welsh heritage constructing mood driven soundscapes through her rich vocals.

Plumm is a genre-bending, stage strutting chameleon; dining with both light and shadow.

Her eccentric tendencies inspired by the late greats of David Bowie and Led Zeppelin, the grit and rawness of Janis Joplin and sporadic but measured phrasing and tone of Nina Simone. Plumm's coming at you with grit and soul.

After playing at BBC Maida Vale Studios with Moses Boydfor BBC 1Xtra, championed by BBC Introducing London, and playing with Taylor McFerrin at Oslo in Hackney; Plumm recently performed and led 2 sold out shows at The Jazz Cafe interpreting Massive Attack’s 'Blue Lines'.

This year she features on the theme tune for new hit TV show 'Ragdoll' on Alibi with Moses Boyd.

Live, Plumm's shows have created a buzz within the ever growing London Jazz scene with her varying arrangements; a full force Rock, Soul, Jazz band, a one woman vocal pedal show and part of larger collectives such as Levitation Orchestra. Plumm is also SOAS alumni with a degree in Ethnomusicology and a specialism in North Indian Classical music. Plumm is a year 6 Future Bubbler under Gilles Peterson.

Recent radio plays from Huw Stephens (Radio1), Moses Boyd (1Xtra), Jamz Supernova (1Xtra), Gilles Peterson (BBC Radio 6) Jess Iszatt (BBC Introducing), Emma Warren (Worldwide FM) and many more.
