Puma Blue is the alias of South Londoner Jacob Allen, who has been delicately honing his purposefully paradoxical sound, blending downtown jazz sax lines with J Dilla grooves and a heart-wrenching vocal akin to Jeff Buckley, Chet Baker and Billie Holliday. This blend is completed by Allen's punk-inspired grit and the ferocity of his live performances, backed by a four-piece band, spewing out tortured love songs and sensual rhythms topped by his haunting falsetto vocals.

"Allen has an emotive, fragile voice that you feel could go anywhere, but mainly sticks around the middle-C of your heart strings, strumming away in the Lauryn Hill-approved manner." - London In Stereo

After two years spent further discovering his sound, Wu-Lu, the South London-based producer, arranger and multi-instrumentalist returns with new music. New single "Jaybo" follows on from his self-released debut EP, Ginga, which featured Stones Throw’s MNDSGN and Gilles Peterson favourite, Andrew Ashong among its ranks. Within eight tracks, it combined the off-kilter brilliance of J Dilla's hip hop with ounces of lo-fi, psychedelic guitar in a refreshing fashion

2017 has seen Wu-Lu supporting the likes of musical polymath, Mark de Clive-Lowe and MNDSGN at the infamous Jazz Cafe. Further afield, his leadership on SAMPLED — a live audiovisual exploration of the divisive ‘world music’ tag with a 13-piece super-band — lead to shows at the now infamous Church Of Sound in 2016. COS being a new, East London venue space dedicated to bringing jazz-influenced sounds to a new audience.

Lava La Rue is a London based visual artist, musician and founder of DIY music & arts collective NiNE8.

An anagram of “Ava Laurel”, Lava uses the alias Lava la Rue to pair surreal aesthetics with experimental Rnb and LO-FI alternative dreamy HipHop flows - often using a combination of DIY soundscapes with handmade visuals to narrate a tale of inner-city lyricism from a queer female gaze.
