In association with Sailor Jerry, our friends and partners in Visions Festival, we're today excited to announce the first UK show for a number of years for The King Khan & BBQ Show at Birthdays on Thursday 26th Sept. Tickets are priced at £5 and on-sale now.

Internationally revered, The King Khan & BBQ Show have released records on labels such as Crypt, Goner, In The Red, and Fat Possum, as well as influencing a variety of other artists. They are an elite powerhouse of top notch doo-wop/psych/r&b/r&r craziness that has been sorely lacking in today’s world of nu-grunge and calculated ‘careers’. In a span of just six years, they released three critically acclaimed albums, a mess of 45s, and toured the world, culminating in Lou Reed asking them to perform at the prestigious Sydney Opera House. They then broke up and went on hiatus. After a three year absence, they played a handful of select shows towards the end of 2012 and had such a great time, they have headed back into the belly of the beast for some more!

Sex Beet started in late 2009, when three drunk 20 year olds from Leicester decided they had nothing better to do. Since that, the band have released several records, finally got a bass player (Henry Withers) , and somehow managed to destroy parties all over the world, from Brooklyn to Warsaw.

Tours have been scattered all over the UK, Europe and America, sometimes headlining, and sometimes being dragged along by bands including The Strange Boys, Thee Oh Sees, and Black Lips. 2012 also saw Sex Beet lock themselves away in Berlin bunker with their buddy King Khan, where they finally recorded the debut "proper album".

All tickets for this show are completely SOLD OUT.
