'Never Meant To Hurt You' could be described as more of the same from Good Shoes, but a more accurate and favourable depiction would be to state that this is the best they've done that thing they do in any attempt at doing it they've had yet. Yes, that's exactly what it is.
The video marries the lyrical innocence and musical prowess of the song, fittingly, to charmingly child-like, David Shrigley-esque animation that belies the technical prowess and strong concept behind it all.
