You'd be forgiven for thinking that Johnny Marr had joined Maximo Park and not Modest Mouse after all, so Smiths-like is the opening jangle on 'Books From Boxes'. But no, it's just a very tasteful homage from the same people who always have and always will be Maximo Park - Paul Smith's wonderfully expressive face rarely out of shot. In true Morrissey style, he over acts every last syllable - he actually looks like he's going to blub when he says the word 'pooooolaroids'! - but you forgive him due to the strength of the song, and the fact that part of the video below was shot in Abney Park cemetery in Stoke Newington, and I was there last week! How very exciting...
