El-P - Smithereens (Def Jux)

Most videos that get banned from television are eventually a bit of a let down, and contain only the odd flashing of a nipple or bit of lovely gore. El-P's 'Smithereens' however is actually both genuinely shocking and frightfully brilliant. In it, the underground MC / producer / pioneer is dressed up, tied up and tortured as if he's a Guantanomo Bay inmate, and nothing is left to the imagination. Neither the powerful piece of political commentary that is the video nor the crushingly heavy hip hop its set to are recommended for the faint hearted.
