Do a search for 'Mountain Goats' on Rockfeedback, and you'll find we've never written a bad word about them. Indeed, only praise seems to spew from our mouths when they are the topic of conversation, which is why we're quite pleased at the thought of their being a new album of theirs, entitled Heretic Pride, available from the 19th of February.
The kind fellows and dames at 4AD records have made the first track of it, entitled 'Sax Rohmer #1', available pre-release as a tantalising free download HERE. It's a track inspired by and named after the pulp fiction novelist behind Fu Manchu, and opens a record crammed with mythical creatures, imaginary cults and slasher film references. Told you - tantalising.
