Justice - DNVO (Ed Banger)

By: James Orange

Justice

French anthem making electro-dance duo Justice are continuing to release material from their excellent Cross album; following up last year's 'D.A.N.C.E.' with a similarly initial based 'DVNO' - set to be released on April 28th. More of a grower than their first two singles, once you've got your head round the distorted rhythms it still feels like a classic - the sort of track you're sure you've already lived with for much of your life. Come to think of it, I'm sure I've seen their crucifix logo somewhere before ... maybe they have been around for a couple of millennia.

The video is in a similar vein to the one released for 'D.A.N.C.E.' (which garnered an MTV Video Music Award nomination) but eschews any canvas as mundane as a T-Shirt. Instead the lyrics explode across space, spinning and morphing into each other, taking you on a journey as epic as the song itself. The vocals are provided by Mehdi Pinson from Scenario Rock; and the promo itself is another product of Ed Banger's art director So Me - who worked on their award winning video for 'We Are Your Friends' and did the animation for that 'D.A.N.C.E.' video.
