A mix of brazen alternative rock and the most sumptuous of melodic explorations, Ten Kens is a work of beauty, but one that is able to provide as many moments of jarring curiosity as it does serene soundscapes. Recorded in a two week period in which the band claim to have gotten no sleep whatsoever, the likes of Liars, Black Mountain and Arcade Fire have heard it and subsequently all changed their Facebook status to 'watching our backs'.
