EXCLUSIVE: Official Secrets Act Remix in celebration of surprise opening slot for The Rakes @ Rockfeedback TONIGHT! (20/3/09)

Official Secrets Act

After spending so long trying to think up a pun about the fact that Official Secrets Act are the support for our special intimate show with The Rakes at The Lexington in London tonight, and despairing about the fact that even though the raw material promised some gold (they're called Official Secrets Act, and we couldn't announce them just yet, officially, we had to keep it a secret - and yet, nothing!), in the end, we just gave up. It's cruel to keep a cat in a bag anyway, poor thing's got no food. So, just to get it out in the open - OFFICIAL SECRETS ACT ARE PLAYING CLUB ROCKFEEDBACK TONIGHT AT THE LEXINGTON, AT 8.30PM, IN SUPPORT TO THE RAKES!

These boys could sell this place out on their own, so it's no surprise that with touring buddies The Rakes in tow, there are no tickets left for this bad boy whatsoever. Sorry. But, to placate what I'm sure is now a livid readership, we've got a bit of a gem on offer all the same.

What that is, is an exclusive remix of signature tune 'So Tomorrow' as lovingly butchered by Rockfeedback's own televisual editing / camera / sound fellow Nick Abbott. There's that great quote from Graham Coxon about how having someone remix your work is like giving them your dog to take for a walk and them coming back with a different dog. Well, this mix is like if O.S.A. gave Nick a German Shepherd, he took it for a walk and came back with a Triceratops. Seriously, this sh*t sounds like Big Black. And is awesome.

So say the band themselves: "So when we finished recording our first single 'So Tomorrow' we asked a good friend of ours Nick Abbott (Foals, Datsuns) to do a remix for us. He had to fly to New Zealand something like 7 hours later so we asked for something fast and crazy. The result was the remix you have in front of you. Everyone in OSA absolutely loves it and Alex even tried to adopt its drum pattern for the real version, but after breaking the 8th snare skin he gave up. We hope you like it too. Send it round and give to a close friend or relative, just don't expect us to recreate it next time you see us live.....oh go on then, we will."
