What the hell is going on? #1 – FIELD DAY WEEK

By: Thomas Hannan

So, new look Rockfeedback, week number two.  Bloody hell.  For a minute there I thought we might not get to week number one.  So much work went in to this new site that at the last count, seven people had died.  So remember that whilst you’re clicking your merry way around.

Honestly, though, we genuinely hope you’re enjoying our new home.

Perhaps the most exciting aspect of our week is the return of Rockfeedback’s TV cameras to both the Field Day and Underage Festivals, held in Victoria Park, London, this coming weekend.  In celebration, we’ll not only be running a competition offering pairs of tickets to both events (CLICK HERE FOR THAT), but uploading each day one piece of exclusive video content from an artist playing at Field Day, to help get you in the mood.

As you’ll see from our player, Monday is the turn of one of Dubstep’s first superstars, the inimitable Skream!, who’s followed on Rockfeedback TV by an exclusive acoustic session from the beauteous Fanfarlo, Plugs caught live at one of our very own club nights and Underage curators S.C.U.M. thrilling the crowd at this year’s Camden Crawl before we end on a spellbinding set from Malcolm Middleton swearing his f**king head off in a church in central London.

Articles wise, expect reports on scenes everywhere from Brazil to Bristol (ooh, alliteration...) and the dissection of records by the likes of Bloc Party, Simian Mobile Disco, Tinariwen and Franz Ferdinand to name but four of far too many.

Other than that, our calendar’s got Matt Tomiak coming in for the recording of our second podcast this evening (thanks to all who said nice things about the first one – HERE, if you missed it), and tomorrow sees First Aid Kit, Blue Roses and Kill It Kid playing Rockfeedback @ The London Lexington in a show which is nearly sold out (though there are a few tickets HERE, if you’re quick).
