Alex Turner may or may not be rocking a Stetson and bolo tie combo as Arctic Monkeys will be plugging their dusty Americana-informed third album Humbug on a ten-date arena tour acrost the UK’s arena in November.
The Arctics recently topped the bill at Reading to mixed reviews, but there can be no doubting that Nirvana’s headline set from Reading Festival in 1992 has passed into legend. It will be available to own on a variety of different formats; The DVD+CD Deluxe Edition (pictured), DVD-only and CD-only configurations are unveiled on November 2, 2009, with a 2 LP version a couple of weeks later.
Rockfeedback celebrated Folk Week recently, and there’ve been some changes afoot for one of the UK scene’s primary players. Noah and the Whale’s loss is the world of medicine’s gain as drummer Doug Fink departs the sensitive London outfit to resume his career as a doctor.
And if anyone under the age of 20 may is wondering what all the fuss with Oasis is about, just have a peek at this. Remember them that way.
