Camden Crawl 2010 early bird tix on sale + launch gig with War Child
By: Dan Monsell

Do you maybe remember the Camden Crawl last year? Well Rockfeedback do, because we hosted the one and only Electric Ballroom, and had Wire (flipping Wire!), The Big Pink, The Invisible, Dinosaur Pile Up and The Von Bondies play (they did ‘C’mon C’mon’!). It was grand. But in addition to that, a whole bunch of other bands played too – a great deal of which we filmed on our cameras and is up on this very website right now. Check that out in a sec why don’t you.
Anyway – this year once more we are on the committee to bring you the best in new music and beyond for another year running. Some really great people are involved this year so it’s looking like it’s going to be one to remember. Stay tuned for line-ups / RFB involvement etc, and news of more daytime events, outdoor stages and a date change to the May bank holiday weekend (Sat 1st May / Sun 2nd May). But the format is once more the same – 40 venues and over 200 bands, and more lascivious fun in north London town than is consumed in a year of Stag Weekends in Prague.
Discounted early bird tickets for the Gaymers Camden Crawl 2010 will go on sale at 9:00 am on Thursday 29th October. What’s more, the Crawl has now teamed up with Camden based International charity, War Child. In support of and to celebrate the new affiliation, the first 1,000 persons to purchase tickets will receive a limited edition War Child and Gaymers Camden Crawl Christmas card featuring a free compilation album, titled Camden Heroes. Our mate Graham Coxon’s on it, along with this lot:
Beans On Toast • Bleech • Emmy The Great • Graham Coxon • The Holloways • The King Blues Kitty, Daisy & Lewis • Madness • Man Like Me • New Rhodes • Ou Est Le Swimming Pool
Finally (for the moment), we’ve also news of a very special fund-raising launch gig on Wednesday 4th November at new Camden Town venue The Blues Kitchen. It’s free for those who bought tickets on a first come first served basis, and those who didn’t take advantage of the early bird offer can buy ‘em on the door for £8, with all profits going to War Child. The full line up of the launch gig will be announced through places like us, festival ticket vendors and fan databases from Monday 26th October. Secret guests will be announced on the day of the event via the Crawl’s Twitter feed.
