What the hell is going on? #21: Club Rockfeedback Week Pt. 2
By: Thomas Hannan

Hello.
This morning on my way in to Rockfeedback Towers, I managed to prevent an old man from falling over on the ice. With this good deed over and done with so early in to the week, I thought about dedicating the next seven days to evil. Only to decide to dedicate it to all this instead...
You might not know it, but today sees the dawn of the second Club Rockfeedback week on Rockfeedback TV, meaning a host of little shows filmed at nights we put on all by ourselves will find their way on to our telly player. We start later today with the Pavement-with-added-shouting stylings of Cymbals Eat Guitars (pictured above), who blew us away at a Lexington show a few months back. Similarly impressive though nowhere near as cacophonous was Basia Bulat’s solo acoustic set filmed in a night we co-ran with Rough Trade back in May – we’ll be bringing you that on Wednesday, ahead of turning the volume knob as far to the right as it’ll go again on Friday, when post-rock royalty Billy Mahonie are our featured band with a Club Rockfeedback set performed in October of ’09 (ahh, halcyon days...)
What (the hell) else is going on? Well, that Vampire Weekend album’s out. Their Dolittle or their Room On Fire? We’ve got a stream of it, if you want to decide for yourselves. We’re getting excited for the first Rockfeedback gig of the year with So So Modern, Cold Pumas and Wild Palms in London on January 29th, but as for live action this week, we reckon the Two Door Cinema Club, Rose Elinor Dougall and Race Horses gig for White Heat at Madame JoJos on Tuesday does a job of capturing three bands you should really have an opinion about in 2010, and if comedy’s your thing, our esteemed sometime-director Kenny Cavey hosts another of his excellent ComComedy nights at the Queen of Hoxton in East London on Wednesday night. We’ll be at all of that, so say hello if you are too – right now, I think I hear Matt Tomiak coming up the stairs, which must mean it’s time to record another podcast!
‘Til Monday, sweethearts.
