What the hell is going on? #25: Club Rockfeedback Week Pt. 3
By: Thomas Hannan

Afternoon ladies (go on then, and gentlemen...),
So, our visa appointments are booked, we’ve decided who’s sharing a bed with who and I’ve resolved to not read a page of the Nick Cave novel Dan bought me for my birthday until I’m on the plane to Texas – yep, Rockfeedback is gearing up for South By Southwest alright. But if I think about it anymore than I already am I might start to get the shakes, so instead, I’ll focus on the predictably busy seven days coming up for us Rockfeedback lot. Our calendar resembles this...
It’s another Club Rockfeedback week on Rockfeedback TV starting today, the third in our ongoing series of mini-documentaries filmed at Rockfeedback events around London. A few hours ago we saw First Aid Kit (pictured above) ascend to the player, talking us through tracks they performed from their 5/5 rated debut album whilst back at their Club Rockfeedback show back in July – their first London headline gig, and a sellout too. Check it here. Ex-Redjetson types Friendship bring the two piece rock action on Wednesday, along with some of the finest facial hair of any Club Rockfeedback performers, before the utterly beguiling Sian Alice Group entrance anyone within earshot to close proceedings come Friday.
Speaking of club nights, we’re running one in association with the HMV Next Big Thing Festival on Thursday, when we bring you Music Go Music, Miike Snow and We Have Band at the ULU on London’s Malet Street. That’s sadly long sold out, but there are tonnes more Rockfeedback gigs coming up from the likes of Gaggle, Too Young To Love, Kassidy, Andrew Davie, Anna Calvi, Lulu and the Lampshades, DD/MM/YYYY, Islet, Mice, Cate le Bon, Lawrence Arabia, Marques Toliver and Three Trapped Tigers, not to mention a heck of HMV Next Big Thing festival gigs too. We’ll be filming the lot, starting with the HMV gig at London’s Borderline tonight with Daisy Dares You and The Plasticines.
You’ll also be able to hear Dan and I talk about the two things closest to our hearts – food, and Rockfeedback – on Eat This!, Nina Smetek’s culinary-themed show on London Fields Radio, at 7pm on Tuesday night. Listen online whydontcha. What on earth we’re going to talk about (curry?) I do not know, but it promises to be quite a giggle.
Thanks n’all!
Tom.x
