What The Hell Is Going On? #36: Rockfeedback’s World Tour Pt. 13
By: Thomas Hannan

Hey mate.
So, eleckshun this week. Is there a “let’s keep everything the same” party? I mean, the poor, the sick, the downtrodden, the environment and West Ham United Football Club, let’s definitely help those guys out. But otherwise, can we stop talking about ‘change’ all the time and bask in the glory of everything that’s brilliant at the moment? There’s SO MUCH!
Not least of all that brilliant stuff is part thirteen of Rockfeedback TV’s World Tour. ‘Twas a Bank Holiday on Monday weren’t it, so we start today in London with part two of our mammoth Meat Loaf interview, this time taking in topics such as the origin of his name, his new record ‘Hang Cool Teddy Bear’, fake passports, lying about your age and the mysterious, elusive ‘brass ring’. No idea what he’s on about? Try HERE. Tomorrow it’s the extraordinary Liars-esque two piece noise band Talk Normal’s turn for a bit of Rockfeedback Telly, with a piece we shot when we met up with the ladies at March’s SXSW Music Conference in Texas. Come Thursday, with the air now clear of volcanic ash, you should join us for a trip to Iceland to talk with The Cribs after they’d had a go at demolishing the Airwaves Festival. We end things on Friday with some sniffer dogs, sunglasses and an abandoned warehouse in the company of Spoon at the Planeta Terra festival in Sao Paulo, Brazil, with a set from Saint Etienne 2009 Primavera Sound Festival in Barcelona joining it for good measure.
The boys on the Rockfeedback Live side of things are usually a very handsome bunch. But they’re looking a little bleary eyed this morning after a hugely successful Camden Crawl, which saw us run gigs from Gang of Four, Speech Debelle, Dan Le Sac Vs Scroobious Pip, Gaggle, Lightspeed Champion, Dead Meadow, Comanechi and Surfer Blood with arguably the best line ups of any stage all festival. We promise we’ll be in rude health tomorrow though for our show at the Old Queens Head in Angel with Caitlin Rose, Matthew And The Atlas and The Boy Who Trapped The Sun, that’s for sure. The last few remaining tickets will be bought by those who click HERE and part with the necessary cash, which is only a paltry £6.00.
If you’re at the Matt Groening ATP Festival this weekend (Liars, Joanna Newsom, Daniel Johnston, The Residents, The Boredoms, The xx, Ruins, Iggy And The Stooges, Panda Bear, Built To Spill, Spiritualized... shit the bed!), look out for me – I’ll be the one in the Converse, jeans and a t-shirt.
Vote Rockfeedback,
