Exclusive first listen to the new Twilight: Eclipse soundtrack. Yes, really.

By: Samuel Smith

AAAAARGGHH!!!! While the tiny world of politics has been debating over which of Nick Cameron and David Clegg (see what I did there?) has the nicest nose, the rest of the world has been caught in thrall by the real question: Team Edward, or Team Jacob? Or, if you're a guy it's been less a question, more a statement: Kirsten Stewart - you would, wouldn't you?

As irrelevant as all this twotter is, the one thing that has been consistent from the beginning of the Twilight series big screen debut is that the soundtracks have been utterly brilliant. Not only have the team managed to secure incredible first time exclusives from some of the biggest acts who certainly don't need the cash (that Thom Yorke track in the second film was ASTONISHING), but they've also done some incredible work in shoving smaller bands blinking into the well deserved spotlight - Iron and Wine, Lykke Li, Bon Iver - as well as a good spattering of British bands.

Thusly, when we were offered an exclusive stream of the latest album we thought, yes, we shall. This one features Florence + the Machine, The Dead Weather, Vampire Weekend, Beck, Bat for Lashes and Metric to mention a few. Screw the World Cup, if we don't get past the group stages, at least English music is still going strong.

Right, here it is. We're off to listen to John Barnes' rap again.

Oh, and here's John Barnes rap, in case you missed out before...
