What The Hell Is Going On? #42: Real Talk Week

Hey mate.
We keep banging on about the Real Talk section of Rockfeedback TV for one reason, and one reason only – it’s completely amazing. Already featuring chats with the likes of Andrew WK, Kim Fowley, Meat Loaf, Anton Newcombe and Seymour Stein, this week we add two more huge names to the list. We started with parts one and two of our recent talk with none other than Mark Mothersbaugh of Devo (pictured above), who discusses with us everything from de-evolution and bouncing around a playpen with Neil Young to telephone calls with would be presidential assassins and how Dennis Hopper appeared “retarded”. Also online now is part one of our Real Talk with Crowded House’s Neil Finn, in which the singer discusses new LP The Intriguer, the importance of family, and the state of the music scene in his native New Zealand. You’ll have to wait for part two, mind – that’s going live on Thursday. But you’ll agree – Real Talk, what a section! Whatever’s next, an interview with Steve freakin’ Albini or something? Yes, actually... watch this space.

What’s more, the Rockfeedback cameras this week pointed themselves at Charlotte Gainsbourg’s first ever live show last night at the Shepherds Bush Empire in West London, and any minute now will press record on a session with our sister label Trangressive Records’ most recent signings, the excellent Pulled Apart By Horses – so watch this space for that.
