Listen: Pin Me Down vs. Co-Pilots Remix

By: Samuel Smith

The story goes that Pin Me Down was loosely assembled when Milena Mepris’ old band Black Mustache supported Bloc Party at a gig in New York. The pair bonded over a likely love of guitars and 80’s artists such as Kate Bush, Cyndi Lauper and New Order that they decided to have a go at bashing out a few triangular pop classics.

In advance of his D.J set at our mammoth 'Rockfeedback X’ event next month, Bloc Party's Russell Lissack has teamed up with Jamie Ellis - under the respective monikers of Pin me down vs Co-pilots - to bring a brand new piece of electronic music for your ears, a remix of new single ‘Curious’ that is to be released on their own label on Monday 4th October.

The single is a reworking of the track taken from Pin Me Down’s eponymously titled debut album released earlier this year. The track has been remixed and reworked by Co-Pilots, which is Russell Lissack and Jamie Ellis’ remix and DJ nom de plume.

The track and the video can be heard and seen now on the band’s Myspace page…
