Gogglebox #2: Watch Lykke Li – ‘Follow Rivers’
I do hope that you're as excited as I am that Lykke Li is back good and proper. One of the most exciting talents to emerge in recent years, Li releases her second album Wounded Rhymes in March, and the first full-length clip we get is for second single 'I Follow Rivers'. Always one to take meticulous care over the aesthetic of her releases, the clip is dark, morbid and beautifully captured, the bleak and minimal aesthetic serving as a perfect platform for the earthy richness of the song. Yes, it is a little reminiscent of those slightly poncey short films that Dazed and Confused sometimes hoik up on to their site to advertise the latest Louis Vuitton menswear collection or something like that, but the fact is that it still looks wonderful and harmonises excellently with the track itself. Go on, you definitely want to.
