Gogglebox #29: Watch Friendly Fires - 'Live Those Days Tonight (Back to '89 Rave Montage)'
By: Mike Harounoff

Do you remember Chase & Status' recent video for 'Blind Faith'? Its earnest and very real portraytal of the late 80's early 90's rave era was impressive to say the least. I'm sure for many, in these times where everything is looked upon with nothing but doom and gloom alongside an omnipresent nostalgia which you can't even enjoy because all the money you chucked about on drugs and whistles has destroyed the world, it served as a nice reminder. Friendly Fires are being very selfish and ignoring what happened back in the day and have instead sat "on YouTube watching old rave videos" and noticed that "all the top thumbed up comments were 'oh kids don't know how to party these days". They've gone a made a really fun video for track 'Live Those Days Tonight' which is essentially a montage of how good things were back then. It's almost as if they're on the side of those selfish bastard ravers having their 'fun' and popping there 'e's and whizz'. Watch their cruel video depicting how man destroyed the earth below.
