Gogglebox #30: Lil Wayne (feat. Rick Ross) - 'John (If I Die Today)
Here we go again. Lil Wayne, back on the album trail for Tha Carter IV, drops the second video from the album after '6 Foot 7 Foot', 'John'. I think I can tell you pretty much all you need to know about the video by saying that it's a video for an angry Lil Wayne track that features Rick Ross. There's smoke, there's women, there's helicopters ('the chopper's in the car', apparently - not really sure how that one works), there's Lil Wayne bare-chested - you get the picture. The one really weird moment is when Ross shows up looking like an extra from One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Next, wheelchair and all, which is a nice if bonkers addition. Musically it's lots of stuff about John Lennon and metaphors about the game being a woman Lil Wayne is currently cavorting with. Oh Weezy, you rogue.
