Gogglebox #35: Watch GROUPLOVE – ‘Itchin’ On A Photograph’
GROUPLOVE, the band that brought us the epic 'Colours' a few months back, are a funny looking bunch. The lead singer looks like Jonny Greenwood in shorts, and the rest of the band comprises of a hippie, a hipster and a young Jeff Bridges. Oh, and a girl who plays keys, as is the pre-requisite for any self-respecting post-Arcade Fire indie-rock group (what a lot of hyphens there are in that sentence). Still, they make a pretty noise, and 'Itchin on a Photograph' is sure to be the soundtrack to many a beer-drenched festival singalong this summer. The accompanying video, beautifully shot, starts off looking dangerously like a Ke$ha promo - but fear not! There's young couples having sex! A man eating hard-boiled eggs! A middle-aged dude wearing nothing but tights, lipstick and a pair of speedos! And all in the middle of this, GROUPLOVE bouncing around just knowing that they're a group on the cusp of something.
