Gogglebox #36: Watch EMA – ‘Milkman’
EMA, the new project from ex-Gowns frontgrrrl Erika Anderson, made her debut London bow this week at a Rockfeedback gig at London's Macbeth, and by all accounts was very well-received indeed. With an album Past Life Martyred Saints about to drop too, and the video for the free download 'Milkman' now hitting the net, it could be an exciting few months for this feisty blonde. The track itself hurtles out of the blocks with a massive beat and Siouxsie Sioux-esque panache, the sweet vocals buried under a ton of distortion. The video follows a similar vein, with eye-blistering visual patterns and lots of goop splattering everywhere. There's also some eggs and planets and stuff, and a desert, which are never bad things when it comes to rockin' videos.
