Gogglebox #37: Exclusive! Watch Ungdomskulen – ‘Walking The Dog'

In a predictably unpredictable move, Ungdomskulen – the finest pop-prog band in Norway, no doubt – have a new record coming out that doesn’t really bear any resemblance to anything else around.
Recorded over the space of six weeks, Gimme Ten consists as you might expect of ten new Ungdomskulen songs, each with a verse, a bridge and a chorus. Yet somewhat peculiarly, each of them only lasts for sixty seconds. The speed is breakneck, with genres such as new wave, dub, blues and pop blasted through without a care for convention, and the whole endeavour results in a record that not only rocks like hell, but is a right old giggle.
As well as putting the songs up for free on their Soundcould and releasing them as a 7” mini album on June 6th, Ungdomskulen are also churning out a video for a new one of the songs each week courtesy of Berlin based production duo Blank Blank Produksjon.
