Gogglebox: Watch Cass McCombs - 'The Same Thing'

We've already had one brilliant album from McCombs this year in the shape of 'Wit's End', a record full of understated melancholly and mischievous depression. Now the Domino-signed singer songwriter is getting ready to drop his second record of the past 12 months, an LP which has him exploring the great American songbook and making it very much his own. And this time round, he's gone electric. The first track offered up is 'The Same Thing' and it's not a million miles away from 'Wit's End', except heavier - the melancholly is replaced with an intent, and the depression... well, he's still not the happiest of men, but that's what we love him for.
