Gogglebox Exclusive: Watch Kotki Dwa – Deep Deep Trouble
By: Thomas Hannan
Whilst there’s nothing specifically Christmas related featured in Kotki Dwa’s video for ‘Deep Deep Trouble’, it’s certainly got a pretty festive ambience going on. Maybe it’s that woolly scarf, maybe it’s the fact that you can see singer Alex Ostrowski’s breath as he imparts this gentle lullaby, or maybe it’s just that the song’s so goddamn heartwarming that you can’t help but picture things that aren’t even there – mistletoe, snowflakes, that kinda stuff.
Directed by Geoffrey Taylor and shot beautifully by Andrew Corrigan, this is a solo rendition of a song from Kotki Dwa’s recently released Lunch EP, filmed in a freezing greenhouse on a rooftop in central London. You can get it as a free hidden download when you buy the EP from kotkidwa.bandcamp.com. The band are currently at work on a long-awaited new album, which should hopefully surface in the new year.
