Gogglebox: Watch Whales In Cubicles - ‘We Never Win’

Allow us to introduce you to Stef, Alex, Leo and Jamie – aka the latest signings to one of London’s most consistent indie labels Young & Lost Club Records. Their debut single ‘We Never Win’ arrives via the rightly-lauded imprint on January 23rd, and comes accompanied by this endearingly no-nonsense performance clip. The video recalls the band-as-gang spirit of the few Manic Street Preachers songs it’s still OK to like (though thankfully eschews the ridiculous make up) whilst the tense melodic and lyrical content of the home-recorded song nods to Stephen Malkmus if he spent as much time thinking about the impending Eurozone collapse as he did picking out vintage plaid shirts.
