It's an odd one with Azealia Banks. '212' left us hit for six; with the Brooklyn MC's flow and lyrics taking centre stage over a beat you couldn't ignore, the track slowly but surely reached the masses and exploded into a bonafide blog hit. The concern is that '212' could be Banks' 'Yonkers', a song big enough to lead us blind through some difficult follow ups before we catch on and bail out. At least that's how we felt before coming across new track 'NEEDSUMLUV' - produced by previous collaboartor Machinedrum, the song is most accurtaly described as "hella progressive" R&B. Here, Banks further shows her impressive vocal talents whilst Machinedrum is always on point with the beat. Perhaps this one will work out after all.
