Burial has today made his latest EP 'Kindred' available to stream in full from the Hyperdub website. Yes, the secretive London-based producer has returned once again with a new 12" set to restore the integrity of a genre he was once the sole inhabitor of - future garage. In his absence we've seen some truly great artists emerge, but this doesn't excuse all the others oversaturating a world of music and lazily handing it over to the blogosphere to be misunderstood (did you see what happened to chillwave? Poor, poor chillwave...). It'd seem Burial has sensed this unrest and come back with what might well be his strongest work to date; featuring two tracks which both slip over the ten minute mark, 'Kindred' is the perfect reminder of both the bedroom setting and club-based roots of the genre.
