Beastie Boys recruit Lily, M.I.A., Jarvis to mix up ‘The Mix Up’

As they hinted to us during an interview we conducted with the lads last week, the Beastie Boys have announced they are indeed going to put in to action their initial idea to get guest singers to contribute vocals to the tracks on their most recent, instrumental album 'The Mix Up' after all.

But far from an N.E.R.D. type situation, calling in guest rappers or indeed doing much rapping themselves, MCA, Ad-Rock and Mike D have recruited some of the cream of British pop talent to contribute the contents of their lungs to the as yet untitled project, with Lily Allen, M.I.A. and ex Pulp frontman Jarvis Cocker all lined up to do their thing over the Beasties mix of funky dub and, er, dubby funk. There they are, pictured above, at the press conference.
