All Age Concerts Throws a 1st Birthday Bash

By: Thomas Hannan

All Ages ConcertsBands love all ages gigs for the complete lack of pretension and the fact that you get back from the crowd just as much love as you're willing to show them. Rockfeedback loves all ages gigs for the atmosphere - we've done Glastonbury, V, Reading, Green Man and tons of other festivals this year, but the sheer glee on the fresh faces of the folk at this summer's inaugural Underage Festival made than one by far and away the best, gosh darn it.

The prominence of the phenomenon of the under eighteens gig at the moment is largely thanks to the work of the folks at All Age Concerts, who celebrate their first year or running club nights and shows for those aged fourteen to nineteen with a knees up at ULU on London's Malet Street this evening. Pick of the live entertainment? How's about Does It Offend You, Yeah? and star of M.I.A.'s recent album 'Kala', the inimitable Afrikan Boy (you know the one, "if you think it's tough now, come to afrika-ka-ka-ka..." - the best one!)

Tickets for the gig, which runs from 7pm til midnight, can still be bought in advance for £7 from www.ticketweb.co.uk or the ULU's own box office, if you fancy avoiding a booking fee. The full line up is as follows...
