Santogold, New Young Pony Club, Late of the Pier, Transgressive DJs to play C4’s Skins parties

By: Thomas Hannan

Santogold

Whilst we're certainly not cool enough to hang out with any of the kids on Skins (are young people actually like that these days? I mean, really?), we agree with them that bands like Santogold, Late of the Pier and Maximo Park are pretty cool, and that the idea of having a big free party where these people play you songs on instruments and records on decks and everyone loves each other is a good one too.

What's kind of silly is that our sister label Transgressive Records - who have pretty much the same personnel as Rockfeedback ourselves - are going to be DJing at one of these parties. (Note to self - we all need a haircut).

What goes on at said do's? First off, a premiere of the first episode of series two of Skins, then live sets from the likes of Santogold (pictured), The Teenagers, The Rascals, Kissy Sell Out, Pendulum, The Metros, Late of the Pier and Mylo, plus DJing action courtesy of Maximo Park, New Young Pony Club, DJ Yoda, Massive Attack, and Transgressive (hah!).

Trangressive Records DJs do listen to requests, so long as they aren't totally stoopid.
