Basement Club returns 28/2 with Esser and Grammatics - RESERVE TIX HERE!

By: Thomas Hannan

Signed or otherwise, these are two of the best bands in the country - and we've got them playing our next Basement Club evening, held at the Buffalo Bar on Highbury Corner in Islington, right next door to Highbury and Islington Underground Station, on Thursday the 28th of February. Honoured are we to present...

Grammatics

GRAMMATICS - fresh off the road with the recently revitalised Futureheads, and capable of some bold, swoonsome, epic music - the likes of which seems very (appealingly) out of sorts with the trendies - Grammatics follow up recent success and acclaim of their Dance To The Radio release with this small performance at The Basement, as part of a debut headline UK tour. One to watch, definitely.

Esser

ESSER - the bidding war has almost subsided, and soon the long-term home for Ben Esser will be unveiled... One of the most hotly anticipated new artists for some time, Ben has been quietly producing some of the best new music and pop songs of a generation, and is set to air some of them in this early, full-band performance. His massive, debut single 'I Love You' is unleashed on the ultra-cool Merok Records (thus label mates include Crystal Castles, Klaxons, Teenagers, amongst others) in the spring, so count this as a sneak preview of the artist of the year, and beyond.

The night runs from 8pm til 2am, with guest DJs on hand heartily encouraging embarrassing dancing until the early hours. Tickets cost a paltry £5.00, and can be reserved by emailing THEBASEMENT@ROCKFEEDBACK.COM the names of the folk attending, and asking nicely.

My, ain't stuff brilliant?
