STOP PRESS: Jeremy Warmsley added to 27/3 Basement bill w/Eugene McGuinness & Natty

By: Thomas Hannan

To get a Flight of the Conchords song wrong, "it's basement, iiit's basement tiiime!".

We promise never to do that again. Here's who's playing Thursday 27th March's Basement Club:

Natty

An effortlessly stylish purveyor of a sound influenced by everyone from Joy Division to Lee Scratch Perry and The Clash to Sly and the Family Stone, a youth spent blagging studio time to emulate those aforementioned heroes has set Natty's sound up just nicely. A hell of an exciting live prospect be he too, as upcoming appearances at the Camden Crawl and iTunes festival attest. A free download via his MYSPACE page should help fill in the gaps.

Jeremy Warmsley

STOP PRESS!!! JEREMY WARMSLEY AND BAND ADDED TO BILL! Alas, the lurgee that seems to be working its way throughout the country has struck our previously announce second on, Munch Munch, who are now tucked up in bed on doctor's orders. But there's no need for tears or fears, only beers, in celebration of the fact that our sister label Transgressive's chief sweetheart Jeremy Warmsley is stepping bravely in to the void with a last minute, full band set. He promises long beloved favourites and tracks from his forthcoming Markus Dravs (Arcade Fire) produced LP, due out this year. Check the lad's MYSPACE and become as excited as we are.

Eugene McGuinness

You may have heard his Early Learnings thanks to a fantastic compilation on Domino last year, but at the Basement Club Eugene McGuinness promises to showcase exactly what it is he's learnt since then with a special, intimate, solo acoustic set from an artist the calibre of which usually look upon venues of this tidy size with scorn. Eugene, top lad that he is, understands that there's nothing better than seeing something undeniably fantastic in a venue with some soul. MYSPACE.

All that, and guest DJs to be announced.

Tickets? Well, they cost £6.00 and must be reserved by emailing thebasement@rockfeedback.com in advance.

The venue? The usual - The Buffalo Bar, Highbury Corner, N1 - next door to Highbury and Islington underground station.

See you? There.
