Melvins parade around Nude With Boots

By: Charlie Potter

Melvins

Oh wowwy wow wow. For a lot of you it probably won't seem like very long ago the Melvins released their last album (A) Senile Animal, but for people like me it's a case of counting the days, being teased by seven inches that I will never be able to get hold of for a reasonable price.

It's been announced that Nude With Boots will be the second album Melvins album to feature the duo of Coady Willis and Jared Warren of the band Big Business, and it seems as though it'll continue in a similar vein. The tracks further the theme of having melodies that are very similar to previously used Melvins tunes, the central riff in 'Suicide in Progress' for example being very similar to the main melody of 'The Bloated Pope' from off'a the Melvins' 2004 album collaboration with Lustmord, Pigs of the Roman Empire.

A couple of the Nude With Boots tracks the band have been performing since the tour of (A) Senile Animal, but the album itself wasn't recorded til the January just gone. It's scheduled for release on July 8th, and Rockfeedback can hardly wait.
